Conserve Our Forest And Wildlife

About forests and wildlife

To save our forest

              Importance of forest
The earth has a limited Limited supply of many natural resource. Conservation consists of work to ensure that the environment can continue to provide resources for human needs. IT does not mean that we have to stop the use of these resources completely without conservation, most of the earth's resources would the wasted , degraded or destroyed.
One of them forest.
Forest are home for many animals, birds etc. It is a very important resource for human beings they provide various things like rubber, wood, timber, medicines etc..
It take carbon dioxide from environment and give oxygen in large amount.
Forest are maintain the climate of our environment. Forest also provide many fruits for us. But increasing the population forest are cut quickly for shelter.
The forest play very significant role in our life. They have several direct and indirect aesthetic, economic and ecological benefit.
1. They are the Great source of oxygen and help us bhaiya jogging carbon dioxide.
2. The roots of trees bind the soil and reduce flood problems.
3. The forests are the great source of human, that make the soil more fertile.
4. They provide shelter and livelihood to many forest communities and villages.
5. Forest land is used as postures and meadows for grazing cattle and sheep.
6. They also provide a variety of forest products such as timber for furniture, fuel wood, fodder, oil, lac, gum, charcoal, medicinal plant etc.
7. Many minerals are obtained from the forests.
8. Forest are a place of Recreation.

Some Forest Are-

1. Equatorial rain forest/Tropical rain forest
2. Tropical monsoon/Deciduous forest
3. Temperate evergreen forests
4.Temperate Deciduous forests
5.Mediterranean forests
6. Mangrove forests/Littoral and swamp forests
7. Mountain vegetation
8. Thorn forests and scrubs
9. Deserts
10. Tropical grasslands
11. Temperate grasslands
12. Coniferous forests
13. Tundra

Conservation of natural resources.

The conservation of natural vegetation means rational utilisation of this resource. The forest being of primary importance, it is necessary to practice conservation at home to protect forest globally. Measures for conservation of forest are of critical importance which are as follows..

Afforestation-

It means converting back the perviously cleared forest land to forests. It involves planting of trees on a large-scale and restoring  ecology of the region.  Care should be taken to avoid planting of a single species of trees in the afforestation areas.

Preventive Measures

It involves preventing further damage to forest and wildlife. Adequate preventive measure should be taken not to extend agriculture in forests beyond certain limits.

Awareness

Mass awareness should be created for sustainable use of forest resources particularly, among people who are still  dependent on forest resources.
Awareness needs to be create created about afforestation. People should also be made aware about the important role played by forests, particular  in moderating the earth's climate.

Habitat Protection

Forest provide shelter to species of trees which cannot grow  elsewhere. Thus, forests need to be protected to save our precious and vulvnerable species of the trees. So,we cannot cut the tress.

Legal Measures

Legal measures like forest act should be formulated by the government.creation of parks, hunting, Chemicals and other effluents causing death of plants should be controlled by imposing several legal acts.Any work in by government permission.

What are human impact on natural vegetation?

Thus, the forests carry great significant in human beings, life. But human beings are blindly exploiting the forests to make their own demands. Rapid population growth and industrialization are the main causes  for  the loss of forests. Forests have been cleared for farming, grazing, industry and constructing new building. The huge removal of forest cover is known as deforestation.

Many causes of deforestation are-

1. Soil erosion on a large scale and soil creeping.
2. Increased run-off of water.
3. Decreasing seepage of underground water.
4. Decrease in rainfall.
5. Loss of Natural Habitat for the plants and animals.
6. Forest fires, Tsunami, shifting cultivation and landslides are some of the human and natural activities that cause deforestation.
7.Many of the important species have become vulvnerable.
To control laws of forest and other natural vegetation, the conservation of these resources is essential.

About Wildlife

Wildlife refers to animals and birds and other organism that live in there natural habitat. It is a significant part of our ecosystem.A huge number of animals, Birds reptiles and other  microorganism live in the thick forested area. Forest mountain range of animals from single celled creature like amoeba to more Complex and big animals like elephants. Within the natural habitat plants and animals live together and interact to each other to meet requirements.
India has different types of animals, birds, reptile, amphibians, mammals, fishes, insects, worms etc. India has about 89,000 species of animals and 1,200 species of birds. These animals are collectively known as the wildlife or fauna of a country. Thus,it can be said that fauna of a country refers to the forms of animals lives in a country. It is considered that around 80% of all wildlife species of the world find representation in India.

Extinction

Natural extinction happen when the last of species dies due to environment changes caused by climate change or natural disasters. Often new species, that are better suited to the changed conditions, replace the extinct ones, but this is very slow process. Presently, however, the rapid extinctions
that are taking place are not natural but human-made.

 Endangered species

  • In endangered species are those plants and wildlife that are so small ine number that they face the risk of becoming extinct. Roughly,99% of all endangered species face the risk of extinction because of human activities. So,human beings are thought to be the greatest threat to biodiversity.

Importance of wildlife

• Wildlife is very necessary for the survival of human beings.
•Wildlife provides us milk, meat, hides and wood.
• Wildlife maintains a balance in the eco-system.
• The birds feed on insects and act as decomposers.
• Insects like bees provides us honey and help in pollination of flowers.
• Wildlife plays an essential role in the ecological and biological process that are significant for our life.
• Wildlife plays a key role germination, soil generation, nutrient cycling, waste breakdown and so on.

What are human impact on wildlife?

People are also involved in the exploitation of wildlife resources. They are blindly involved in poaching. This results in a sharp decline in the number of particular species. Animals like lion, tiger, elephant, deer, black buck,
rhinoceros,ostrich , snow leopard,etc,
are poached for collection and illegal trade of hides, skin, horns, teeth, nails and feathers. So,these animals should be protected.

Protecting Natural Resources

Natural reserves
These are areas set aside as protected areas for the preservation of flora, fauna, and wildlife. These are generally smaller than national parks. Rare and endangered species are often kept here, far from the eyes of hunters. The main purpose of these reserves is to preserve nature. These reserves also provide opportunities to study and research the shelter animals.

National parks in India

India has 59 National Park ants 372 sanctuaries. There are 1200 species of birds and 350 species of mammals in  the Forest of India. In addition, the Rann of kachchh,Gujarat,is the world's largest nature breeding place for flamingo. Again The Olive Ridley turtles visit the coasts of Odisha to breed every year between October and may.

The largest National Park in India is the hemis in Jammu and Kashmir (3,350 square kilometre) followed by desert National Park ok in Rajasthan( 3,162 square kilometre). There are numerous animals and birds that are endemic to India alone.

Conservation

All around the world, there is increasing deforestation. When a a huge amount of forest are cut, the water balance gets disrupted are region experiences dryness. But deforestation is not just about trees. Think about the ecosystems supported by forest and all the species dependent on them off their survival. Think about all the products that human lose out on. Therefore,
Conservation is important. Both forest and wildlife needed to maintain the ecological balance on earth.

How can forests and wildlife be conserved?

• By using recycled paper to reduce pressure on tree.
• By preventing poaching of wildlife.
• By planting lots of tree.
• By protecting endangered species and threatened species in reserves to allow breeding.
• by democratic forest as protected areas and preventing illegal logging.
